Game of Thrones Season Finale Was Mind-Blowing

WARNING. CONTAINS SPOILERS FROM LATEST EPISODE

Where do I even begin to describe my reaction to the season six finale of Game of Thrones? How about unbelievable? Jaw-dropping? Epic? These words do little justice to the finale, as it was one of the most incredible episodes HBO has ever premiered.

From the first minute of the episode to the last was non-stop action and cliff-hanging dialouge that made many people yell at their televisions (myself included), the episode was perfectly executed. The first 20 minutes of the episode were absolutely insane! Cersei Lannister might have made it to the top ten boss women in history after this episode. One way or another, Cersei always gets what she wants and she gets back at any and every person that ever wronged her; starting with Maester Pycelle who was unfortunately killed by an army of little kids.

After taking care of Pycelle, Cersei was about to light things up in the Sparrow's Temple. Queen Margarey, Ser Loras and the High Sparrow were all awaiting for Cersei's arrival but she sat safe and sound in her room as this happened:

Boom.

How epic was that? This was my favorite part of the episode and possibly the entire series right next to the Red Wedding. I won't go too much into the rest of the episode as many of the fans know what happened from Tommen's little trip, Arya finally getting rid of Walder Frey, uncovering Jon Snow's secret of where he came from and Cersei taking her place on the Iron Throne. Here is what some of the loyal, devoted fans have to say about the episode:

"It was actually very good, in terms of keeping everyone on their feet. It definitely left people wanting more. The writers know how to bait an audience and make them dread the waiting for a new season" -Jazmine Gregory

"This episode definitely made up for the drier moments in the season." -Nick Razo

"The season six finale was so great. It gave us so much progression to the story that's been built up for seasons and it was satisfying." -Evan Grady

"Winter is finally here" -Nick Rocha

In my personal opinion, I thought this episode was truly spectacular! Every scene had me shouting at my television screen, as I could not believe what was happening before my eyes. This show has done an excellent job at crafting its story and developing its characters unlike most shows on television. At first, I refused to watch the show because many people would not stop raving about it. I was annoyed until my friends finally convinced me to watch the first couple episodes. immediately, I was hooked and have spent at least $200 in Game of Thrones merchandise.

Now I think it is one of my favorite shows on tv. Not only does it have a fantastic story, but also its characters, settings, costumes, themes and plot twists it incorporates. Many fans would agree as well. I asked fans how and why they got into the show in the first place; this is what they responded with:

"I love the show. I love the character developments and different ties.I started watching it on HBOGO because I finally got the opportunity. And I became addicted instantly." -Jazmine Gregory

"My brother started watching the first few episodes but stopped for a bit. I eventually decided to give it a shot and immediately fell in love with the story. I eventually got my brother hooked, along with a few friends" -Nick Razo

Sadly, now all devoted fans have to wait about ten months until the next season.

Until then, remember all loyal fans, "When you play the Game of Thrones you either win or you die"

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
