Ranking Of Parks And Recreation Characters

One of my all time favorite TV shows is "Parks and Recreation." It's about government officials trying to make their town a better place. It begins with a pit that Andy Dwyer fell in. All the characters provide a wonderful dynamic that only continues to grow as the seasons goes on. Some characters come and go, but you can't help to fall in love with them. From goofball Jerry/Garry/Larry/Terry to Donna to Andy, there are so many great characters to get attached to throughout the show's many seasons. I actually cried when I watched the finale.

I have yet to meet someone who doesn't love "Parks and Rec." There characters are different so everyone can relate to them. Having unique characters is why the show works. Because they are all so different and lovable, it was difficult to place them in order.

Disclaimer: Spoiler alert if you haven't finished the show!

12. Mark Brendanawicz. City planner, who was kind of a jerk. He left the show after the first couple seasons.

11. Jean-Ralphio Saperstein. The actual worst human being on the planet.

10. Jerry Gergich. Office goofball with a beautiful wife (still not sure how that happened). He's on the lower on the list because he messes up everything.

9. Chris Traeger. Always positive and has great attitude about life; but sometimes his positivity can be annoying.

8. Ben Wyatt. Nerdy, but the perfect partner for Leslie.

7. Tom Haverford. The best word to describe Tom is "swag."

6. Donna Meagle. Co-creator of treat yo self day, smart, kick ass woman.

5. Ann Perkins. Leslie Knope's best friend. She always supports and loves Leslie throughout her crazy ideas.

4. April Legate. Sarcastic is the best word to describe April. She is dark and cynical but deep down has a heart of gold.

3. Ron Swanson. Hater of government and any one named Tammy. Lover of meat and Li'l Sebastian.

2. Andy Dwyer. Lovable, kind of dumb, and everyone's favorite alter ego: Burt Macklin, FBI. Second only to Leslie Knope.

1. Leslie Knope. Ultimate government official and waffle enthusiast, there is nothing Leslie Knope can't do.

Special shoutout: L'il Sebastian. Mini horse extraordinaire.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
