There's nothing more difficult than asking for money and in all honesty, I hate it. But I do it all the time for my philanthropy, SHOCKERTHON, because I have an in-printed image in my head of a young girl smiling and waving at me even though she had more tubes hooked up to her than I could count. We've all had an experience that creates the passion we have for our philanthropies and it's why we donate our time, energy, and effort. What we can accomplish as a group, to help others,Seeing what you can accomplish as a group along and helping others is one of most rewarding feelings in the world.

Let’s imagine that YOU have to raise $5,000 at one of our favorite chapter philanthropies here at Wichita State, whether it’s SHOCKERTHON or any other great event, do you think you could do it? It'd be hard.

It’d be like going to SHOCKERTHON dancing like this.

But after playing $5,000 worth of volleyball, I’m like…

So how about going over to Sigma Phi Epsilon’s Zach Mesch Chilli Feed?

But when I actually try to bring $5,000 worth of chili to my friends, I’m like..

So since I can’t handle chili, how about unlimited Taco’s at Alpha Phi’s Taco Phi’st?

Nope, eating $5,000 worth of Taco’s was an awful idea…

Ok, ok, so no more food. Let’s hit the pool for Delta Gamma’s Anchor Splash and be like...

State Farm is choosing one lucky Wichita State student THIS WEEK to reward their #OffCourtAssist in their community to receive a $5,000 philanthropy donation and an ESPN GameDay Prize Pack including a $250 gift card to the campus store and sweet ESPN College GameDay prizes... oh... and you get to accept the award on NATIONAL TELEVISION. No big deal #celebstatus.

How to Win:
