College is time consuming. It is hard enough finding time between class to day drink and attempt to write my papers, but every day someone asks me if I have worked out today... um, haven't you heard? The dad bod is in. Why would I waste valuable time sweating and making gains when I could be spending it making memories and mixed drinks with my friends?
Apparently if I just let myself not go to the gym and use what excuses I have left, I am more attractive anyways, so let's skip the rowing and rage instead. Here are some quick excuses, I mean, workout tips because -- long story short, the quick tip to working out is just not working out.
1. I just ordered pizza.
Okay, this may not make you look good in front of your fit friends, but at least you are being honest! Oh, and if you ordered enough for them, maybe you can change their minds because in all honesty there is no excuse to let a good pizza go to waste.
2. My appendix hurts.
To be honest, I am not really sure what an appendix does (don't judge me, I'm a finance major, not pre-med) but whatever it does, it is probably pretty important, and if that hurts, you should definitely not workout. I heard that the hops in Bud Light are good for your appendix, so maybe you should go grab one of those instead. I imagine it plays out something like this scene from "Drake and Josh."
"I think I may have twisted my appendix. The doctor said I couldn't workout."
3. I have plans with my friend, Jack.
If someone tries to take you to the gym with them, promptly tell them you have plans with Jack and you are unable to make it. Just don't spill the beans and tell your friends Jack is a fictional friend that exists in a bottle of liquor. Quality liquor at that, always encouraging and fun to hang out with.
4. The people in the gym are too judgmental.
This seems like the most common excuse for not working out so tread lightly and use it only as needed. Remember, though, if you're scared that the people in the gym are going to judge you, then skip the gym and go to Chipotle. Chipotle doesn't judge, Chipotle understands.
5. I'll drink vodka water tonight.
Actually, hold the water. Vodka is the logical excuse for not doing cardio. You should definitely have a beer if you did do cardio that day, but if you didn't, no worries! Vodka is really low in calories and high up on the list of things more fun to do then run on a treadmill.
6. Football is on.
Do I even need to say more? Look at this view! There is nothing better.
7. Cutting into valuable pre-game time.
If you miss an hour of the pre-game because you had to go work out, you could be missing great music, great friends, and fun drinking games. I don't know about you, but beer pong is about as much cardio as I want to do in a single day.
