Push Your Limits
"Go The Extra Mile"
In recent days I've picked up on one of the most crucial facts of life. It is that we are, in one form or another, all living around one intangible thing, time.
Do we have enough of it?
How much of it should we spend doing...?
There are 24 hours in a single day, 60 minutes in every hour, and 60 seconds in every minute, making there 1,440 minutes in a day or 86,400 seconds in a day. The truth of the matter is that, as for me, my schooling takes about 8 hours out of my day, add 8 hours of sleep onto that, and I have 8 hours left over to make sure my body gets enough proper care (nutritionally and hygienically), be social, study, finish my homework, walk the dog, etc. etc. etc.
What is the most efficient way I can manage my time having as minimal stress as possible?
Well, I'd say that the smart way to answer this question would be to keep everything in between school, sleep, and taking care of myself to a minimum. That's the "smart" way to answer that question. But who actually chooses to be "smart"...?
To keep my stress level down I decided I'd take an AP class, start taking piano lessons, participate in after school clubs, write for The Odyssey, join a youth choir, and put in applications for a job.
Smart...?
Yes, very smart. I will not fall victim to time. Although my stress levels are through the ozone now, if I fell victim to time I wouldn't be able to participate in the things in life that I'm learning to love. Instead of moping around the clock because I didn't get enough time to do blah blah blah, I grasp onto every second that I can not letting any of it go to waste.
To sum up this mess, I just want to say don't be intimidated by time or the stress that comes along with managing it. Use your time wisely, "go the extra mile", push your limits, and hold onto every second that you can.
