First, I want to start off by saying how much I love you. When I first met you during your new member period, I just knew you were something special. You stood out from everyone else and we made that instant connection. When I finally got you as my little after waiting for what seemed like years, I couldn't of been more happy. We were a big/little dynamic duo, ready to take on the world.
Since then, I have had the privilege to watch you grow into a beautiful, strong and intelligent young woman not only in the sorority, but in life. I have seen you be kind to others when they are in need. I have seen you offer new, amazing ideas that no one had ever thought about. I have seen you make mistakes, but grow from them in such a graceful way.
I know during the school year, things can get a little crazy. There are papers to write, jobs to work at and sisterhoods to attend. It can get a little overwhelming and sometimes it feels like life is just a big old mess. But never fear...your big will always be here.
Here are some things that I promise I will be and do for you, not only during your college years but the rest of your life.
I promise to always be a phone call away.
Whether you are stressed out from classes or just need someone to vent to, I'll always be either a text or phone call away. I'll make sure to take time out of my day to chat it up with you always!
I promise to be your "Mom away from home"
If there ever comes a time where you catch the flu or are in need of some motherly assistance, you know I'll be there with chicken noodle soup and a big hug.
I promise to be your biggest fan.
Any position, job or general life choice you make, I will be supporting you the entire journey while yelling "That's my little!".
I promise to never judge you.
You might make choices I don't understand, but I will never look down on you. You are a smart and courageous woman, and anything you choose is the right choice for you.
I promise to hold you when things go wrong.
Boys will suck and breakups will happen. I promise to be there ASAP with ice cream, tissues and break up mixed CD's to help wash the pain away. Oh, and lots of cuddles.
I promise to never let you down.
When I got you as a little, I made the most important promise: to never forget about you, hurt you, and to always be there for you. I will always be your role model and you will always be my special someone. No matter where we end up in life, big and little we will always be.
