Dear Future Little,
You're probably sitting in a classroom in high school staring at the seconds tick by on a clock dying to get out of that place. You're probably so excited and anxious and nervous to come to college and go through the rush process. You can't wait to find a chapter that you fit into perfectly and sisters that love you from the start. You don't even know me, but I already love you so much.
It may be during recruitment, or it may be weeks after, but I'm going to know that you're the perfect little for me as soon as I lay eyes on you. And I already know that you're going to be the most perfect little in the history of all littles.
I've already been scheming ways I'm going to try and deceive you during big little week and pinning on my Pinterest boards the crafts I want to make for you over the summer. I'm already so excited about welcoming you into my family and watching you fall in love with the chapter that I am so passionate about.
I want you to know I'll always be there for you. I'll be there when that jerk boy makes out with your best friend in front of you and when you're homesick. I'll be on your side when you get into a fight with your best friend (even if you're in the wrong). My door is always wide open when you need to come vent, complain or need a shoulder to cry on.
I promise to be there to warn you about boys that I know are bad for you, understand when you go after him even when I advise you not to, and be there to help you through it when he screws you over like I knew he would. But I'll never say I told you so.
I promise to be your surrogate mom when you're in trouble and help you out of any sticky situation. I double promise to take you to go get ice cream when it's more than necessary. Or if it's just a Tuesday.
Now I know I'm not perfect, and I know I may not always be the best role model. Sometimes I'm a brat and sometimes I make questionable life choices, but my biggest promise to you is that I will do my absolute best to be someone that you'll want to look up to.
I'm already counting down the days, future little, until I can finally make you officially mine and I just can't wait.
