Every single day of our life, we are faced with pressure in some form. A lot of people run from pressure. Why? It is too much of stress and too many expectations and discomfort. Of course, until people realize that life without pressure is mundane.
First and foremost, people think that pressure is a curse. That's nonsense. If you take the negative view, it will crush you. As the great trainer, Tim Grover said, "Pressure can bust pipes, but it can also make diamonds." If your boss tells you he needs you to do an important task, is that a curse? Or when the star player and coach ask another player to hit a game-winning shot? Or when you have the chance to do great on an AP exam and show what you are made of? Not everyone gets the opportunity to feel the pressure to accomplish these tasks. So when you get the opportunity to attain these things, it is important you are prepared and ready to execute seamlessly, otherwise, the pressure becomes negative stress.
If you show weakness while dealing with pressure, then someone else is going to steal the opportunity away from you. But if you succeed, undeniable rewards are buried under all the pressure you persevered through. Without these pressures, life becomes boring and predictable. You don't know what you are made of until you are tested under those extreme circumstances that challenge you to no end. We should all be fortunate to have situations of high pressure in our lives. Whenever you are stressed, just imagine how uneventful it would be to have nothing new or exciting in our daily routine.
