Poverty: A World Issue

Poverty around the world is one of most serious, concerning issues, yet one that is least mentioned on your average television stations. Not only do many around the world work for less than a dollar a day, but some people around the world can be seen as living out of cages. This is unbelievable in contrast to the many Americans who complain about not receiving bonuses. People around the world make far less than a thousand dollars a year. Finding this information is, without a doubt, not hard if one seeks to look in the right place. Oftentimes, one needs to be pointed in the right directions.

Living standards and access to basic needs such as food, water, shelter, health care, and education are not available to many. Children are not able to see their full potential as they wander the streets, seeking job opportunities to help a household of already underpaid workers. Below are a few videos of issues around the world that I have inserted below. Everyone should take look at these videos and consider the way they think about their life and their money.

Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
