Life has this tendency to test our strength and abilities. It presents us with obstacles that attempt to impede on our successes. We live in a world that can be dark, cold and desolate. Negativity drives a significant portion of our society.
Yet, I believe that positive energy has a greater potential for creating dynamic and monumental outcomes.
Something that I have found exceedingly beneficial in my own life is making a positivity list. On my worst days, I force myself to think of positive aspects of my life. You might find it especially helpful to write down these things on a physical list or type them out on your phone. Often times, though, I will just take a mental timeout and think of those positive things. I usually make myself list three to five positive things that are happening in my life.
It is miraculous how much a small exercise like this can entirely change your mood and mentality. Allowing your mind to be overtaken by negative vibes is going to directly influence how you approach tasks and situations. Alternatively, if you go into something with a positive attitude, it can bring you greater motivation and strength to work towards your aspirations.
So if you ever find yourself overwhelmed by life’s challenges, try to make yourself see the presence of positivity.
Every day may not be good, but there is good in every day.
