Positive reminders to add to your everyday life:)

As an upcoming Junior in high school, I've learned that our society likes to just bring people down when they don't fit the "perfect" image. As humans, we should be reminded that we don't need to fit that image because we are all perfect in our own ways. We should also be reminded of positive things to keep us going throughout the day!

1. YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL

I don't know how much people in this world need to be reminded of this. Whenever we argue with someone, it seems like our hateful comments are always to there looks, which is not okay. EVERY ONE IS BEAUTIFUL. No matter what size you are, what gender you are, your sexuality, your skin color, anything you might think is a flaw on your body, it is beautiful.

2. BE YOURSELF

I feel that people in this world have to hide who they really are because they are afraid that if they don't act a certain way, people won't like them. YOU ARE WRONG! Being yourself is the most amazing thing, stop trying to act like someone you are not. By doing this you are only hurting yourself. BE YOU!

3. YOU ARE GOOD ENOUGH

Your value doesn't decrease due to the way other people see your worth. You are so worth it, don't hurt yourself because you don't think you are worth anything. You will always be worth it, at least in my eyes you are:)

4. REMEMBER TO LAUGH AND SMILE

Everything may be going horribly bad, but with just a small smile or a laugh, you entire day could be turned upside down. Don't drag yourself down, build yourself up! Laughing and Smiling are good for the soul!

5. BE KIND

I feel that we can never find kindness in this world anymore so we as humans need to be kind, with just a simple smile or wave, we can spread kindness around. Not to mention, we need to be kind to ourselves! Things can happen where we want to beat ourselves up for it, but we have to remember to be kind to ourselves, we don't want to harm our bodies or our mental health.

6. LOVE IS LOVE

Love is love<3

Accepting yourself and being able to love someone is the best feeling ever! Don't let people stop your from loving someone, it is okay to love whoever you want. People may judge and be unkind, but don't let that stop you! Be kind to those who oppose and spread your love! LOVE IS LOVE.... or as Brendon Urie would say it... Love is not a choice.

I hope these may have helped you in one way or another. just remember to stay positive and be happy:)

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
