Pokemon Go has been sweeping the world by storm since its release in July. Today (Sept 16) an accessory, the Pokemon Go Plus, came out to add additional ways to play the game. Sadly for those who have Android devices, your use of the Go Plus may have to wait.
As of writing, only iOS devices and select Droid devices have functionality. Apparently, this was known that this would be the case for a while now but it wasn't announced as much as other information about the Go Plus. Thankfully it looks like there is an update being worked on by Niantic that will hopefully allow all the Droid users functionality who don't currently have it. It will update Android to version 0.37.1 and 1.7.1 for iOS. It is unknown when the update will go live.
Trainers, Pokémon GO is being updated to version 0.37.1 for Android and 1.7.1 for iOS with minor fixes for the Pokémon GO Plus.

To add to the issue of the Go Plus not working for a lot, the device is also in very high demand but has very low quantities nation wide. Currently, GameStop and The Nintendo Store in New York are sold out and unknown when they will be back in stock. When it does work, the Pokemon Go Plus has a lot of fun features. The purpose of it is to allow you to play the game without always having the game open on your phone. Though a series of different colored lights, and vibrations, you can not only catch Pokemon but also collect PokeStops and it will track distance for your eggs and buddy Pokemon candies. The last feature was recently announced, as it was unknown if that was a feature the Go Plus could do. With the announcement of the Apple Watches inclusion of Pokemon Go, people's fears grew that the Go Plus would be a waste of money.
Did you get a Pokemon Go Plus? Is it worth it’s price tag of $34.99? Do you still play Pokemon Go or have all the issues stopped you from enjoying it?
