Please Don't Vote For Trump
RealTimePolitics

In the last week, both Ted Cruz and John Kasich suspended their campaigns, leaving Donald Trump as the GOP nominee -- Yes, you read that correctly. Donald Trump is one step away from the White House.

I am imploring you. Do not, for any reason, vote for Donald Trump.

Why should you not vote for Donald Trump, you ask? Let me break this down for you:

In simple terms, Donald Trump is an egomaniacal, power-hungry, delusional, attention seeking waste of space. He is a racist, ableist, violence-advocating, misogynistic, piece of garbage. I cannot wrap my head around the fact that so many people blindly support a man with such hateful ideologies. I understand the polarization in politics and supp orting different policies. I understand not grasping socialism and not wanting a country to be run by Democrats. However, I simply cannot fathom how this man got so far.

He openly discriminates against people with special needs:

It is expected for candidates to question their opponent's political stances, however, Trump takes a completely different approach that directly degrades women:

He discusses things that are not relevant during presidential debates:

I mean I don't even know what to say about this one:

What? Is he proudly endorsed by the KKK?

What is it that makes this man so appealing? He is not by any means qualified for the highest position an American can hold in office. He has no experience with politics and his experience with foreign affairs only goes as far as The Miss Universe pageant. What makes people think that having him lead an entire country is a good idea?

If you are even considering voting for Trump, I have to ask: what are your thoughts about his domestic and foreign policies? I'll answer that for you: he has none. His only plans to "make America great again" are to build a wall around the border and essentially make it impossible for Muslims to get in the country. I cannot understand the logic behind this as it legitimately makes no sense. He wants to build a wall. Build a wall. What? Better yet, he wants to make Mexico pay for it, after claiming that all Mexicans trying to get into the country are rapists and are taking American jobs. How does he think that's going to work out?

He wants nothing to do with Muslims and wants to make it harder for them to get into the country. Where this may make sense to some due to the 9/11 attacks, it is obvious xenophobia. Claiming all Muslims are members of ISIS is similar to that of claiming all Christians are members of the KKK. It is clear that religion is only an issue for him when it involves people of color. His blatant racism shines through as he debunks #BlackLivesMatter movement and claims "all lives matter."

He clearly does not understand the platform of the movement and speaks about it through an uneducated lens. If he knew about the movement, he would know that it advocates for the importance of all lives, however, it stresses that Black lives specifically matter just as much everyone else's. This man has no intention of making America great again; he just wants to make it predominately white again. Ironic, as our country is prided on diversity as it's called the "melting pot."

Trump is an embarrassment to our country; his campaign is built upon the stance of unbridled bigotry, xenophobia, and sexism. The next step of this presidential race is a true test of character for all Americans. We cannot as a country fall at the hands of this narcissistic man. To all people, of all races, religions, genders etc. who have been belittled and persecuted by the ignorance of Trump, I beseech you to use your vote against him. Please, please, please do not vote for Donald Trump.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
