Confidence is something to strive for every day, and sometimes you need a little help so I have collected these songs for you! Enjoy!

1. My House by Flo Rida

This song has a great beat you can't help but get down to, plus any song that encourages you to be comfortable with yourself is worth listening to.

2. Confident by Demi Lovato

The name of the song says it all. There is nothing wrong with being confident.

3. Sit Still, Look Pretty by Daya

For a girl who wants to be seen as more, this is the anthem. It is one of my favorites and it is catchy.

4. Songs Like This by Carrie Underwood

All things Carrie Underwood are my favorite; however, this is my go to song whenever I need to belt something out in my car. Maybe the words are the confidence boost but that attitude of the song is, plus you should never let anyone walk over you.

5. Inception by Logic

This is a new one to me that a friend introduced to me, but I think it fits the bill. It talks about overcoming the past and taking control of your future.

6. Victorious by Panic! At The Disco

Who doesn't want to be victorious in life? I love this song for the power it makes me feel and energy it infuses in me.

7. Good To Be Alive (Hallelujah) by Andy Grammer

I got the pleasure to interview and meet Andy Grammer last year because of my involvement in my campus radio station. I love his music. When I am down this song brings me up and reminds that I should be grateful to be alive.

8. Stronger by Kanye West

An oldie in some ways but no less powerful. Nothing can bring you down if you don't let it. Let what makes you feel weak make you stronger.

9. No by Meghan Trainor

Too often people feel compelled to say yes or be polite even though it makes them uncomfortable. This song encourages you to say no when its how you feel. Being polite is great, but you can't let someone walk over you.

10. Me Too by Meghan Trainor

I hesitate to put two songs by the same artist on this list, but I can't help it. Be you and be confident in who that is.

11. Rise by Katy Perry

It shouldn't be enough to just survive - thrive! Have faith that you are enough and you are strong.

12. Centuries by Fall Out Boy

Be memorable, don't hide behind others. Stand up for yourself and others and greatness will find you. This song just has so much power behind it.

13. It's Not My Fault by Anthony Lewis

Another new one to me, but definitely an empowering one. The music video isn't my favorite so maybe just ignore that.

14. My Favorite Part by Mac Miller

You shouldn't rely on others to make you feel beautiful, but it sure helps.

15. Run the World(Girls) by Beyonce

Sorry boys! This is definitely a pump up for the ladies out there!

16. Formation by Beyonce

Beyonce deserves at least 2 songs. Power to the people!

17. Danza Kuduro by Don Omar

Not my primary language, but it inspires my friends so this is where it belongs. It is definitely fun to dance to.

18. Roar by Katy Perry

Katy at it again with another inspirational. Be stronger than the people that push you down by getting back up on your own. Be the champion in the fight.

19. Like a Champion by Selena Gomez

I love a little Selena and this song makes me want to be my best. Be a champion in everything you do, or fake it until you make it.

20. Remember the Name by Fort Minor

Another oldie from middle school for me, but it still inspires today. It is all about attitude, so make sure your priorities are in order - positivity is everything.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
