Get A Planner To Get Your Life Together Before Finals

What was I missing my whole life?

I'm good at many things but being organized is not one of those things. I forget due dates, I lose papers, and I stress myself out over the consequences. I had tried planners in the past, but I eventually lost track of them or gave up. That was until I treated myself to a new, fun twist on your everyday planner. I bought mine from a brand called 'The Happy Planner', but there are quite a few options similar to the style of the planner I chose.

Normally, planners come with their own design and layout of the pages where you can fill in your priorities right away. 'The Happy Planner' does things a little differently. The brand sells giant sticker packs where you can literally create an entirely different look for each page, adding in varieties of patterns, colors, and cute quotes. The pages come blank so you can allow your creativity to truly set in.

The whole scrapbook-esque take on it is the reason I keep doing it. Every week, I set aside time to focus on designing my planner and doing something I consider fun. It's very therapeutic to be able to forget about homework for a minute and get crafty. Since I am being able to express my artistic style through these pages, I constantly write things that I've done or assignments that I need to do so that the final week spread looks complete! This has kept me motivated to stay organized since the very first week that I got this planner.

My favorite thing to implement in my planner is Etsy sticker sets. People on Etsy create thousands of different themed layouts for these exact planners that you can buy for cheap and really make your page pop! The hobby can get pricey if you buy loads of stickers that you don't ever use, but if you're like me, you'll use loads of them!

I have seen major improvements in my day-to-day life since I began planning and I'm not ashamed of it. I hardly, if ever, forget due dates anymore since I do revisit my planner every day to make sure my to-do list is checked off. I track my work schedule in there, I track my water intake, I track everything.

Now that finals week is coming up, this might be the perfect time to start finishing off the school year strong and start organizing before next semester shows up.

Drop the basic, boring planner and invest in something that is fun, while also really beneficial towards your life. I think everyone should try this out at least once and see if it works for you, the way it worked for me!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
