Donating your hair is one of the most generous things you can do. You can take your hair and give it to someone who needs it more than you do. I, myself, recently donated my hair to Children With Hair Loss.
1. Locks Of Love
Locks Of Love is the most well-known charity. "Locks of Love is a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children under age 21 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. " All hair is accepted, except bleached hair.
2. Wigs For Kids
"A nonprofit organization that has been serving children suffering from hair loss since 1981." Hair donations must be at least twelve inches long. Bleached and colored hair will not be accepted.
3. Children With Hair Loss
Children With Hair Loss provides wigs for children up to 21-years-old. Hair must be at least eight inches long. All hair is accepted, including chemically treated hair.
4. Pantene Beautiful Lengths
The organization that started in July of 2006. Minimum length is eight inches. Chemically treated and grey hair is not accepted.
5. Angel Hair Foundation
This foundation was founded in 2007. Hair must be at least eight inches long. Chemically treated and grey hair is accepted
