I love Criminal Minds and when I saw that season 11 was released on Netflix, I was so excited. I immediately started binge watching the season because the show has me hooked. This got me thinking about the phases I went through when binge watching the show. Its a trap and causes a lot of mixed emotions, but don't all shows? I came up with 5 phases: addiction, attachment, anger, anxiety and agony.
Phase 1: Addiction
You can never watch just one episode of criminal minds. It sucks you in and one episode turns into five, next thing you know you have watched all 11 seasons on Netflix.
Phase 2: Attachment
All of the characters on Criminal Minds are loveable. From Garcia to Hotch you love them all because they all have their unique qualities that make you fall in love with them, but don't get too attached because that leads to phase 3.
Phase 3: Anger
That moment when you realize your favorite character is gone and you think the show will never be the same. You hate the writers for writing them off or the actors for leaving the show but at least you can rewatch the episodes they're in, right?
Phase 4: Anxiety
The show might give you nightmares, cause some anxiety and paranoia because some of the storyline are really messed up but that's all part of the show. The anxiety hits when think relate things in real life to the show and paranoia hits when walking home at night because someone could grab you like they do in the show. But don't worry too much, its just a show.
Phase 5: Agony
When all the season are done and you have to wait till the next one comes on, just rewatch the series because you now you want to.
