Phase 3: Marvel Movies of 2017

It's weird to think that the year is coming to an end (finally!), but more importantly that we are in phase three of the Marvel Universe! With dozens of movies already out leading to the biggest two-part Marvel movie ever, Infinite Wars, Marvel has some more big plans for 2017. Here are the three films coming out after the much needed new year:

1. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

Probably one of everyone's favorites, Chris Pratt does a phenomenal job in the first Guardians movie playing Peter Quill aka Star-Lord. In this second film, all of our beloved characters will be back, yes even baby Groot. According to NME, the Guardians opening scene has been revealed! If you are interested in finding out what it's about, check it out here! There really hasn't been any big trailers released yet, which leads us to still question exactly what the movie is going to be about. All we know for sure is that the mystery of who Star-Lord's father is will be revealed.

2. Spider-Man: Homecoming

Tom Holland is finally able to show what he's got as a young Peter Parker in the newest Spider-Man movie this upcoming year! Making his debut in Civil War, Holland did not disappoint with his take on the famed character. We have had a few people play Spider-Man, SO I am interested in seeing how the entire movie comes together as a whole. I haven't ever been the biggest fan of the character (shocker, right?), but I am very excited to see this movie! I think Holland did the role justice in Civil War so I am more than sure he can pull of this movie. If you want to read up more on this film, check out Cinema Blends' site for all of your Marvel need-to-knows.

3. Thor: Ragnarok

The third installment, and by far my most anticipated for 2017! I love all of the Thor movies, so I am really hoping they hit this one out of the park. I'm definitely excited to see Jeff Goldblum play the Grandmaster in this movie, I think he will be bringing a lot to the film with his take on the character. I know there are a few really cool Marvel characters making their appearance in this movie, one being Doctor Strange (as shown in a mid-credit scene during that movie). We also don't know much on the premise of this movie, but we do know that Doctor Strange and Thor will be teaming up to look for Thor's brother Loki, played by Tom Hiddleson. I'm not one for spoilers, so here is a link to some of the big things we know so far for the movie if you're like me and just can't be surprised by anything.

Three movies may not seem like much, but that's pretty consistent with every year of Marvel filled utopia. I think these three movies are going to do great and set us up for the big event we have all been waiting for. Part one of Infinite Wars officially releases in 2018 and I can't wait to see Thanos hit the big screen for more than just a minute! Any other info or potential spoilers, facts, or just random information on Infinite Wars (comics of film) can be viewed on Cinema Blend!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
