It's not a secret that Peyton Manning is going in the history books for his highly decorated football career. With a major comeback after an injury that kept him out for a season, he continued to break passing records and brought his team to the Super Bowl twice in four years, making four trips total in his 16 highly successful seasons.
Will this be his last season? I guess we will have to wait and see. From a fan's perspective, I hope it is. I'm not saying that because Brock Osweiler is Montana grown talent, but because I don't want him to pull a Favre. With his injuries, it's pretty good that he's done this well so far. Hopefully, he's got one more win in him before he retires. I'm sure he wants to have as many rings as his younger brother before he hangs up the pads for good.
Manning recently came out saying that he would need a hip replacement at some point. It seems like a lot, but considering that he's already gone through spinal surgeries and has lost the feeling in the tips of his fingers. That's just the price you pay to play professional football. He definitely isn't the first one the pay his dues.
I don't know a whole lot about football, but I do know this is going to be a solid game to watch. Number one defense going against the number one offense? Low scoring game, but definitely a good game that you don't want to miss. They say offense wins games and defense wins championships. We'll see who gets the 50th title tonight.
For the people that aren't huge football fans, there's always the amazing party food, mainly all of the wings, and commercials. I haven't watched any of the early releases, but I've heard they were good. I mean, they're usually hilarious. Sometimes even thought provoking. I could probably go without another one of those insurance commercials where the kid dies. Talk about morbid.
Regarding the Super Bowl: who cares who won? The Budweiser Clydesdales are always the winners. Except Dodge's "Year of the Farmer." That is the best commercial, hands down.
