Sometimes I wonder if the rest of our lives will look the way I imagine them to be. Every day, I find myself thinking of you and as you cross my mind today there are so many things I wish to tell you that you should know:
1. I am here for you no matter what.
I am here for you when you feel like you have no one else, I will be the one to listen to you when you need me, even if I am busy I will give you all of my attention when no one else will. No matter how far away I am at the time, I am always with you during hard times. If you ever feel alone, just know that you aren’t even when it may feel that way.
2. I believe that you can achieve anything when you put your mind to it.
When life gets tough you may feel like you are hopeless. I believe in you and that the fire in you can achieve anything. I’ve seen the way you get when you get discouraged and I will always be here to encourage you because I know that you can do anything. I hope you never get down on yourself because you will do amazing things and I know that you will change the lives of others in the process. Even when life gets tough and you feel hopeless, I am with you every step of the way.
3. I love the way that your family loves.
Ever since I met your family, I knew that they were so loving. The way they love and cherish you as their son makes me want that for my own family one day. I love how you appreciate what is given to you and do not take them or anything else for granted. They will always be there for you, I love how family is so cherished in your home. I love how your family loves me, I love your mom and your dad and all of the adventures I have been through with you and your family.
4. I will always make you a priority.
Even amongst the busiest days and schedules, you remain a priority to me and a major part of my life. No matter what life has thrown at me, I will always make an effort to see how you are doing and do whatever I can to be there for you even when I can’t be physically. I will always make an effort to help and encourage you throughout our lives together. No matter how busy I get, you will always be a main priority of mine.
5. I will be your best friend during tough times.
After a bad day, I will be the one you come home to and will listen no matter how bad it might be. I want to be the one you can cry in front of when life becomes too much for you. I want to be the one you reach out to when you’ve had enough, because when you do, I will be the one that is always here for you. No matter how hard things may get, do not forget that you are my best friend through everything. I will be here to listen any time that you need me. These are important things that I want you to know, that even in tough times, I’m here.
6. Even when we fight, we grow together.
There will be times when we fight and it’s going to be hard, but that will never stop me from loving you the way I do, unconditionally. There will be times when I get on your last nerve and you may not want to talk to me, but I hope in your heart you still hold me in your heart the way I hold my love for you. No matter how mad we are at each other, I know that we are strong enough to work through any problem together. You light up my world in ways you could never understand and even amongst our hard times, I want to always be here for each other. It hurts when we argue, but I know healthy relationships cannot be perfect. I don’t want us to be perfect, I want us to grow together and learn new things in our relationship. The way I love you is unlike anything that I can put into words, I need you to know that.
7. I will respect you.
If you’ve had a bad day, I will do my best to give you the space you need even if I don’t like it. When you need alone time, I will give you the space you need whenever you need it. Whatever worries you may have, I will be here if you want to be alone for a while or if you want to talk about it, I will wait. Neither of us know where life is going to lead us, but throughout everything, I hope God leads me to you.
8. I want to marry you one day.
When I look back on the last year and a half with you, it brings so much happiness in just one thought. I am so blessed each and everyday that you are mine and I am sorry if I don’t always show that. January of 2017 will be our two year anniversary together, which I hope can be as amazing as you are to me. Two years may not seem like a lot to you or anyone else, but these last two years have been the best years of my life, loving you for the past two years has been such a blessing. So this is what I want you to know, I hope to marry you one day. I hope I get to be a part of your family and that we can start a family of our own, you are the person that I love unconditionally and will sacrifice anything for. Tucker, I want you to know that the love I have for you in my heart is unconditional and strong. Strong enough that one day I want to marry you.
