To start off, thank you. Although a simple thank you will never be enough to tell you how much you saved me, I feel it must be said. You were the person who was there for me when I couldn't be there for myself.
There is always a time in your life when you believe you lost yourself; a time where you feel there was nothing left in you. It was then that I began to lose myself. I lost faith in myself, and I stopped helping myself. But that is where you always have that one person who is there to pick you back up and build you up. There are obstacles in life and it's often easier to give up when those obstacles get in the way. I let these things break me down. I stopped believing I could achieve greatness. You didn't let me forget. You stood by my side each and every day.
College came along, and my mindset was forced to change. Due to life or fate or whatever you would call this, I was forced to change. I began my degree that would help me attain my dream career, but because I am just not a stellar student, I was not able to continue on. My dreams, my goals, my life; all seemed to just be crushed. I had a life planned out where I was happy and successful, changing lives everyday. It was always my dream. But because of one event, this all changed. I lost sight of what mattered. I stopped believing in myself, but they never stopped believing in me.
You made sure I did not give up. You built me up until I was strong enough. You did whatever it took to make sure I was okay. I am thankful for you. Because of you, I am where I am today.
You have brought me back to where I have always belonged. I am strong now. I am confident now. Your words made me believe in myself again. For awhile, I lost myself. I am not proud of that. Confidence is something I struggled with for a long time. I am now beginning to see myself again. Because of you, I am my true happy, smiley, confident self again.
So again, thank you for believing in me each and every day when I wanted to give up. Thank you for the countless tears that you stayed through when you just wouldn't leave me by myself. Thank you for believing in me when I couldn't believe in myself. My love and gratitude towards you is forever in my heart.
