With many, there is always an urge to text someone back. However, there are some people that you absolutely should not be pressing that "send" button to. I know it may be hard because we all crave some human communication, but there is some negatives to texting certain kinds of people. I am not saying you should cut off a bunch of people from your life because you are aggravated with them, but in some instances in life, it is better to just stop texting. Here are a few examples of people you should not text back anymore:
1. The Boy Who Cried Wolf
This person is the guy or girl that only comes to you when they need help. This is the person that is not that good of a friend or is not actually a friend in real life at all. They always seem to want to be your friend through texting or social media. A social media friendship, I mean, they only tag you in posts on Facebook or tend to @ you a lot on twitter. But when it comes to them wanting to hang out with you in real life, it is a very fictional event. However, when they need something or want something of you, they are back to being your best friend in real life. This is someone that you should not press the send button to because they don’t have any positive interests for you.
2. The BFF (Best Fo-Friend)
This is one of the most deadly texters of them all. This is the person that will text you constantly pretending to be your best friend only to get dirt on other people, as well as you. They will get you to spill your guts to them and then when it comes time to go to school the next morning, there are about thirty people who know everything that you dished out last night about yourself. The best fo-friend will make it seem like they are your best friend, but really, they just wants to share your secrets. If you don’t text this person back, you will in turn be keeping your personal business safe.
3. The Fighter
This is someone that you should just stop texting because of your mental health. If there is someone in your life where the only way you can communicate over text is through fighting, then you probably shouldn’t reply all the time. If you can fight through a text and then have a resolution, that is completely fine. However, if you are constantly fighting over text and not actually coming to any closure, and you just have a bitter taste in your mouth throughout every conversation, then texting them back probably isn’t helping yourself or the other person. This can be one of the hardest people not to respond to because everyone wants to have the last word but for the sake of your insanity, don’t press send.
I could go on and on about the people you shouldn’t text back but you should know who you should respond to. If you have a bad feeling when you respond to someone then you probably should have texted them in the first place. I know it can be hard, but like I always say, listen to your gut because most of the time it has the best interest for you.
