The whole time that I was in there all I could say was "what the heck, wow."

Pandora- The World of AVATAR: Review From A College Kid
Travel With Rick

Forbidden journeys elapse into an unknown wonder. Trembling deep within the souls of the voyagers, the fresh breathe of the new world graces their presence. Green hues render their branches, poking crevices into the blue above. Traveling deeper and deeper into the foreign territory, pinks and blues blossom and bloom, dancing through the pathway of 4.4 lightyears away. Foresting evergreens widen their arms as they grace into a new beginning. Scraping the sky’s skin, mountains share their vines as they rest above the world below. Water spills down their lime way, steaming the pavement below. This is Pandora.

Satu’li Canteen

Okay seriously, the food is actually out of this world. I went with the Chopped-Wood Grilled Chicken and can I just say, wow. Not only was the presentation visually stunning but, the chicken excited my taste buds with the perfect combination of smoky grilled tender goodness. For my base, I choose red and sweet potato hash and paired it with the black bean vinaigrette. Ugh yum, just all of the yum. You have the option to pick from three different bases and three different sauces, making your meal custom to your own liking. The best part? It’s topped with yogurt boba balls, which sounds kinda funny for this type of meal— but no, trust me it was wondrous. My roommate is gluten free and also got the Chopped-Wood Grilled Chicken, she gave it an A+. Of course being college kids, we had to try the Dreamwalker Sangria-- high key recommend.

Pongu Pongu

Have you been wondering where all the trendy hipster kids are getting that purple and green drink? Search no more, Pongu Pongu has your answer. It’s called the Night Blossom, and yes— it is just as good as it looks. Topped with yellow boba balls oozing passion fruit, apple lemonade and desert pear blend together creating the most magical combination. If you’ve ever had the Frozen Desert Violate Lemonade at EPCOT’s Flower and Garden Festival, the magic it possesses is very similar.

Flights Of Passage

There are no words to describe Flights of Passage. I got off the ride and was completely shook. Incredible, not going to lie, I cried. The waits are high, but trust me— it's worth it. The queue could be an attraction on its own-- you won’t be bored in a line like this. The detailing is like nothing I’ve ever experienced in my entire twenty-three years of life. Basically, you are matched with an AVATAR who takes you on a journey with your very own Banshee. Spoiler alert: you can feel his breath against your thighs as you take flight on a journey through Pandora. If Sorian’ had a baby that fell into a radioactive pool, that’s Flights of Passage.

Na'vi River Journey

This slow moving boat ride takes you through a glowing rain forest. The Bio-luminescent caves glistens their souls as the passengers search for the Na’vi Shaman of Songs. Purple and blues hinder their light as the rain forest comes alive. Unearthly leafs feather in the breeze as typical flowers expose their colors. Foreign animals prance in past the trees as jellyfish like creatures float above our heads. The rumor that this ride holds some of the most advanced animatronics on Disney property is confirmed. The AVATAR twirls her arms as she dances to the soothing music. The wait is worth the beauty of this masterpiece.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
