Having An Outgoing Personality With An Anxious Mind

Outgoing people with anxious minds feel things a lot more intensely than most people, the main reason being is that we very seldom talk about our anxiety...and by seldom, I mean never. All of our anxiety is in contrast to our bold personalities. Strangers would have never guess that the lively bubbly person they have been talking to actually has crippling anxiety. This person may often be the life of the party, but inside they are questioning anything and everything.

Mornings can be the worst part of your day...

As soon as you wake up in the morning, the anxiety in your head is telling you "What if," "look at it this way," or "HEY remember what you thought we resolved last night...well let's worry about it some more." This can easily go on all day if you let it and no matter what you try you can't get the little guy in your brain to shut the hell up

Love to be surrounded by people, but isn't afraid to be alone...

We feel the need to be surrounded by happy people because we feed off of their positive energy. But we don't mind being alone because that means that we are free to think of every possible scenario that could go wrong and not be judged for being too introspective.

Even though you have a big personality...

The smallest thing can bring you down, stress you out and make you question everything. Just the thought of these mundane tasks can send us in a downward spiral.

The smallest act of kindness make us melt...

We often get overwhelmed very easily, so the smallest gesture that could make our day or help make life easier is much appreciated. Picking up our favorite Starbucks drink, playing with our hair, or just calling you to see if you need anything will never go unappreciated.

Going to bed could also be the worst part of your day...

Just because our brain is going all hours of the day doesn't mean it stops when you are trying to sleep. It get's to the point where you try and busy yourself during the day to tire our your brain before bed time so you can fall asleep with ease. Sadly no matter how tired you are you always end up going over every single decision that you made that day. Next thing you know it's 2 a.m.

We are our worst critics...

We are often hardest on ourselves, constantly gripped by the feeling that you should be doing something differently. You aren't ever satisfied with yourself and you're constantly trying to better yourself but you can't ever seem to achieve the level of perfection you need to be happy with you.

Because of your outgoing nature, you meet a lot of people...

But you always wonder in the back of your mind if they actually like you or not. In your head you think, "Am I talking too much?" "Wow my voice is so annoying."

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
