Dear Parent and Soldier,
I may not say this enough but thank you for everything you do. You give me so much and I want to take a minute to thank you for everything you've done. Not only do you take care of my needs, but you protect the freedom of this country and for that I will forever be thankful -- and grateful for this great country we call the U S of A.
Thank you for teaching me what it means to sacrifice for one's country.
Being in the military lifestyle, sacrificing for your job and ultimately the welfare of the country is something we do constantly and I am thankful for it. It taught me from a young age what the cost of our freedoms in America are and made me appreciate them that much more. I will always appreciate our armed forces and the sacrifices that are made. Thank you for your service.
Thank you for teaching me how to be military strong.
Regardless of what happens in my life, I will always have the backbone of my military background to support me and help me survive. From your, at times, too strict discipline to your high morals, I learned to strive for military excellence. Through my experiences I have become adaptable and resilient, and feel I can face anything! Thank you for helping me to be military strong and always having faith I could achieve anything.
Thank you for remembering to be my parent.
Working, you do so much to support your soldiers, battalion, and command. Yet you remember to do so much for me as a parent. While you may not always have been there, you always made the most of the time we did have together. Thank you for the hugs and the endless support. While you may not be the general, you are my soldier and that is everything to me. You are my protector regardless of where you are and give me the bravery I have to do anything.
Thank you for the military life.
From USAA and the exchange to understanding how to get around Base I am forever thankful of this military life we live. It can be frustrating and scary, but I wouldn't have it any other way. It has helped me to create amazing relationships, taught me many life lessons and helped me cherish you so much more. Thanks for loving me as is.
I can never thank you enough.
You are my soldier and my parent. You are my hero and the truth is I will never do enough to thank you for what you have done. Watching soldiers returning home videos, I can't help but cry knowing the experience they go through. I am so thankful for you and the thought of losing you is not an option.
Love,
Your child and forever dependent
Xoxo
