It's very obvious that the "open letter" is one of the most used types of Odyssey articles that people choose to write. They also get a ton of attention, and are typically littered across my Facebook newsfeed at all times of the day. While they're popular, it's so easy to mock open letters. They're sometimes cheesy, and can make the person or group they're addressing either really uncomfortable or really grateful, or maybe a mix of both. We've all seen the ones that make us cringe a little, but there are also the few that are really sweet. I'm not one to write open letters, but for people that are, here are a couple suggestions.

1. An Open Letter To The Girl Who Saw Me Take A Snapchat Selfie And Didn't Say Anything

You're a true hero.

2. An Open Letter To The Friend Who Said She Would Let Me Know What She's Doing This Weekend But Never Did

3. An Open Letter To The People Who Yelled And Brought Attention To Me When I Dropped A Cup In The Caf

You'll never understand how much you hurt me in that moment.

4. An Open Apology Letter To The People Who Can Hear Me Breathe When I'm Running On The Treadmill

I'm so sorry for all I've put you through.

5. An Open Letter To The People Who Turned And Looked At Me When I Walked In Late To Class

6. An Open Letter To The Girl Down The Hall Who Saw Me In The Bathroom After Just Waking Up And Didn't Throw Up At The Sight Of Me

I can't express how much you mean to me.

7. An Open Letter To The Cashier That Didn't Judge Me When I Went Through The Checkout With Three Packages Of Mini Donuts And A Large Soda

8. An Open Thank You Letter To The 11th Person To Like My Instagram Photo Causing The Names To Change To Numbers

I could thank you a million times and it would never be enough.

9. An Open Letter To The People Who Answer Hard Questions In Class After The Professor Has Been Standing There Waiting For Someone To Do So For Five Minutes

10. An Open Letter To The People Who You're Not Sure If You're Close Enough With To Say Hi To In Passing Or Not

I just wish I knew where we stood, but I know someday we will get through this.

11. An Open Letter To The Person I Had To Move Out Of The Way For Because You Were Skateboarding In The Middle Of The Sidewalk

12. An Open Letter To The Cleaning Lady In Our Hall

Not a joke, you are the real MVP.

13. An Open Letter To The Facebook Friend That Posts Every Thought They've Ever Had Online

14. An Open Letter To My Best Friend's Ex-Best Friend From Sixth Grade

You know what you did, and even though it was eight years ago, I can never forgive you.

15. An Open Thank You Letter To Olly And Andy On "Bob's Burgers"

Thank you for being there when no one else was.

I'm looking to you, Odyssey writers everywhere. I'm waiting on these and will not rest until they're all done. Speaking from past experience, readers will most likely eat these things up and any of them would probably get more shares and page views than the stuff that I try to write. You're all welcome.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
