There are a lot of people in the world, like me, who are too hard on themselves. We understand the struggle of putting on too much pressure and then beating ourselves up after making mistakes. You want yourself to be the best and you know that you can do better. You have so much faith in yourself that, occasionally, it can lead to faults.
And sometimes, especially when faith brings out those faults, we forget to realize that we are not always going to succeed.
Here’s a list of things that all of us who struggle should remember…
- Mistakes don’t define who you are.
- Your worth doesn’t change or depend on the things you have done wrong.
- Your worth also doesn’t depend on the people watching you make those mistakes.
- Plus, if those people are spending all of their time in your business, then it says a lot about them rather than you.
- At the same time, you cannot allow procrastination or anxiety to become your bff.
- All too often, your own worst enemy is yourself, so, it's okay to put yourself first.
- Make time to take care of you and not your worries.
- Any time spent worrying is time wasted.
- If you spill your coffee on yourself it won’t create mass chaos.
- Don’t be so scared of criticism, because it can be wise and helpful.
- Don’t forget to thank your blunt friends when they tell you what you need to hear even if it’s not what you want to hear.
- YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE PERFECT IN ORDER TO MATTER. You matter just by being yourself. (Still beating this into my own head.)
- As cheesy as it sounds, it is not the end of the world. And its just a bad day not a bad life. (I know, I know.)
- Just remember that every mistake is a lesson and try not to repeat it.
- All too often, our biggest mistake leads to our greatest change.
