"You were so horrible at teaching, I gave a student her money back."
"I made an investment in you, and I haven't seen you pay me back."
To the dearest MC,
Your words stated above have haunted me for about four years now, and I will forever resent you for what you put me through. When I first met you, I fell for your act. I truly believed that you wanted to transform me into a better dancer. Instead, you wanted to mold me into one of your minions, and that was an offer I wasn't interested in. I worked my butt off day in and day out to impress you, but unfortunately that was never enough. Every class I was singled out for silly things, an opportunity you took to embarrass me in front of my classmates. So, out of all the times I brought attention on your rude attitude, what did you get out of this? All of the yelling, and derogatory comments, what were you expecting that this would give you? You simply couldn't face the fact that one of your students wasn't afraid of you and I sure as hell wasn't going to let you win.
Do you even understand all the nights I couldn't sleep?! I tossed and turned, scared to death to see you the next day, I dreaded the moment I'd see you. I can't count how many times I left class and ran to my dorm room crying, wanting to go to another school because you bullied me so intensely! I would purposely skip classes just to avoid you, because I knew that a day without you was one more day that didn't end in tears. You treated me as a product but never as a student. It seems as though you didn't care about inspiring your students, you just focused on how you can make a better name for yourself and make more money. It is shame that your other students and company members are to scared to stand up for themselves against you.
With you, the best day ever was when I told you I was leaving the department. In this moment, my heart broke into a million pieces because I was leaving the one career I wanted most, to be a professional dancer; I knew though, that I couldn't stand to be with you for two more years and be miserable...like you. In the end though, two years later, I ended up the winner with the last laugh.
I entered into a department that gave me a better education, I made sure I became a well-rounded student who knew more about life than just dance. I had time to experience everything I ever missed out on. I joined cheerleading and the dance team with a coach who appreciated the talent I brought to the table and never took it for granted. I met people who taught me more than I could ever imagine and accomplished things that never would've happened under your guidance. At this point in my life, I have a ton of career goals, and one of them being an english teacher. In all of my education classes we discuss about the worst teachers ever, and every single time it comes up, you're the first one that I think about. You're the poster child for what I will never be like towards my students. My careers and opportunities have been established extremely well and I am beginning to make a name for myself. So thank you, everyday I strap on the boxing gloves and step into the ring to fight for what I want, but don't get too excited, because I'd fight you in the ring...any day.
Best regards,
Becca
