An Open Letter To My Mom

Mom,

You are the biggest blessing a girl could ever ask for. You're such a strong woman. You're my biggest role model. You're my biggest fan. You're an incredible person. You give when there is nothing else to give, and you never ask for anything in return.You're my best friend. You're my biggest strength. You make me feel so loved. You make me feel like I still belong. You give me purpose. Thank you for always taking the time to answer my million and oneth phone call, usually it's just me wanting to hear your voice. Thank you for always allowing me to vent about my personal life, even if you don't always agree with my decisions. Please don't ever think that your love and affection ever goes unnoticed because I'm forever grateful. You've taught me so much about life. You've given me the freedom to learn from my mistakes and become the person I am today. You've always accepted me for who I am, and you've never tried to change that. I just want you to know that I sincerely appreciate every sacrifice you've made, late night phone calls you've answered; the countless times I just needed a shoulder to cry on. I appreciate your sense of urgency whenever I need something. You never seem to fail me or let me down and you always go above and beyond, even when you don't have to. You make life a whole lot easier and I love you so much for that. Thank you for never giving up on me, even though I struggle so much. I just want you to know that I think I'm going to make it. I'm going to be okay and it's all because of you. If I could become half the person you are today when I grow up, I'd be so content. Your unconditional love is what keeps me going and so I sincerely thank you for that. Thank you for being the mom that you are. Thank you for always being you. Thank you for being my mom

Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
