Growing up we always come across people who help us take on this adventure we call life. Eventually though, we meet up with a person who becomes our partner in crime, the friend who's always there with open arms, and someone who becomes as close to us as a sister. My best friend unintentionally came into my life my freshmen year of high school. This awkward little girl who was deep into the goth scene and just seemed very confused about what she wanted. I was the complete opposite on the other hand. I was very outspoken, vibrant and all around loud.
Though it took awhile to break through her shell, all the effort was worth it. All the countless adventures we had. From our long horse back riding adventures, our story writing sessions, our walmart escapades and so on, those are memories that I will remember forever. With the good times also come the bad times though. From the first heartbreak, getting yelled at by our parents for being late, to when we had to say goodbye to a 4 legged friend. All those memories build up to for a bond that is nearly impossible to be broken.
Our senior year was my most memorable. Our futures were shaping right before our eyes. You were in love and planning your future, and I was looking into moving across the state for college. That didn't stop us from having the best senior year though. We had made it through the most unstable 4 years of our lives and we were closer than ever. Summer had passed and you had gotten engaged and I had been accepted into school. It seemed surreal how quickly everything was going. It seemed like just the other day we were walking into our first class of high school together and now you would be walking down the isle, moving halfway across the country to be with your husband in the military and to be honest I was scared that would be the end of our friendship. But it wasn't by any means, so thank you.
Thank you for always being there for me 110%
Thank you for always knowing what to say and when to say it.
Thank You for being kind, real, and never holding anything back.
Thank you for being my shoulder to cry on.
Thank you for letting me eat all your food.
Thank you for always sticking up for me.
Thank you for always being there even when we are 1000 miles away from each other.
Thank you for being there even if we hadn't talked for a week or so.
Most importantly, thank you never giving up on me and always supporting me.
When you find your person, don't let anything get in the way of your friendship. Friends only last so long, so find someone who can be apart of your family. Find someone to make memories with and who will always be there for you. Don't let the little things in life push you away from people who love you. Find 'your person' and never let them go.
