The tale of Archie, Betty, Jughead, and Veronica. It was never something I saw myself getting into, but oops I guess I did.
May I say, I am hooked. I love every part of the show and even though it's super cheesy, the plot of the show changes every time and I get interested in every episode. Also, Cole Sprouse is just well...Cole Sprouse and we love him.
The show is based on the Archie Comics and I think that it's super cool that a whole show is coming from comics. The concept of a whole show just coming from comics just made it more interesting to me.
So why do I love it so much?
Well, I've always been very interested in mystery shows and I think that Riverdale has all the plot twists I could ever want and I can't help clicking on a new episode when one ends. I think that whatever the producers are doing is super smart with the way they form their episodes and incorporate different parts of the plot in each.
Every day I do all my homework and tell myself "Okay get this done and you can watch Riverdale" because I am this committed to this show and I really want to catch up. I can't seem to go about my day without watching at least 3-4 episodes and I can't decide if that's bad or good.
I never understood how it is to be addicted to a show because I never had Netflix, but now I surely do understand. However, I try to not let it get in the way of other things because I know that if I do then it would be a downhill cycle.
For me, Riverdale is this little escape. It sounds silly to say but I like knowing that when I get all of my work done I can just enjoy and episode or two. It gives me something to look forward to every day and it also gets rid of my stress.
So the moral of this whole article is, yes Riverdale is amazing but everyone should have a show or a movie or something to turn to after a long day of work or school. I have a hard time when it comes to having fun and Riverdale has made that a little easier.
I recommend finding a little something. It doesn't have to be Riverdale (even though I think it should be), but it should be something that you can look forward to every day to ease the built-up stress and get some minimal fun going.
