Everyone has demons. Some more powerful than others. There are days when these demons and struggles seem to overpower every part of them, as if they have no control over anything. I've battled my own demons in life and it always feels like there are never enough words to vanquish those demons. So, for those people who are going through their own battles and need some strength, this one's for you.
You are worth it.
I'm sure that you've heard this before and I'm sure it tends to lose its meaning. But don't ever think that this isn't true. You are worth it in so many ways and to so many people. I know there are times when you feel like this isn't true and you don't want to believe it. But, don't ever forget that there are so many people in this world that value you and appreciate you for everything you are, even if you don't know it.
Pain is only temporary.
Sure, the pain you're feeling may be excruciating at times but it will not last. You might think that you'll feel this way forever but there will be things that come along in your life that will make you realize that the pain you were once feeling is gone. Don't.
Some days are good, some bad.
Yes, I know I said that pain is only temporary and that is true. However, struggling with demons isn't something that just goes away. There will be good days; days where everything goes right and you feel at peace with everything. And there will be bad days; days where it seems that everything is going wrong and you won't be OK. But these days will pass and you will be OK.
You will be OK.
Life is not fair, I know. People lie, breakups are hard, family can be annoying, school can be tough. But, through all of the hardships, you will be OK. The people who lie aren't worth your time. The breakups you go through won't be painful forever, you'll be happy again. Yes, family is annoying sometimes but they love you and will always be there for you. School can be hard and you won't always get the grades you want. But, if you work hard and try your best, you will do fine. No matter what life throws at you, you will be OK.
It's good to have people around you.
I know that sometimes it is easier to be alone when things look bleak. But, having people around you to support and cheer you up when you're down is an essential to being alright. Being able to be OK by yourself can work, but surrounding yourself with people who want to see you succeed and be happy will ultimately boost yourself and make you happier.
I know this isn't the most insightful list of thoughts for someone who needs strength, but I know that these are things that I like hearing when I need strength and am fighting my own battles. But if you take anything out of this, you will be OK.
