To say I am an avid online shopper would be the understatement of the century. I am constantly checking the new arrivals section of my favorite stores and boutiques seeking my new must-have leather jacket or cashmere sweater. During one of my weekly browsing sessions, I stumbled upon Old Navy’s site. I know - completely random, and I was even questioning why I was wasting my time. However, I was more than pleasantly surprised. I was utterly shocked. I had found the jackpot.
Old Navy, like many other brands this year has totally revamped their collections and even added active wear to the list of their products. Instead of being the “commodities shop” where you go for a cheap hoodie or flip-flops. They have focused more on being a style-conscious brand but still with those great low prices that everyone’s wallet will not be able to deny.
The key to Old Navy’s rebirth you ask? The addition of Stefan Larsson, who used to be the head of global sales at H&M, to the retail team three years ago. His reinventing tactics of the company were based around one idea: “to create clothes that our customer aspired to be, not what they settle for”. To do this Larsson had to start from the bottom. He had to refresh his team of every department. He ushered in designers from Coach, Nike, and North Face to give the company a sense of style. It’s evident that his hard work is paying off.
Old Navy has become a shining star for Gap, Old Navy’s parent company. Last year, Old Navy took almost $6 billion in sales in the United States, which is almost the same amount as Banana Republic and Gap combined. Old Navy has become Gap’s gem while its other companies have seen a stall and/or decrease in sales.
The growth makes perfect sense to me when they have killer new styles that appeal to all different ages. Here are a few items that I cannot get enough of and will most definitely be purchasing in the near future.

I know you’re probably still feeling skeptical about Old Navy actually having fashionable clothing and accessories but I am telling you a quick visit to their website will not lead to disappointment. No need to spend tons of money on that Madewell jacket or Steve Madden booties when you can get similar products Old Navy that won’t break your bank! You can thank me later.
