Something that Lord has taught me a lot during my last season of life is that it’s okay to not be okay or have everything together.
With our world crashing down and spinning out of control, why do we try to act like we have it all together when we don’t and have a God who does?
We can take comfort that when we don’t know what is going on, God does and Jesus will never come off His throne!
Jesus wants us to experience His unconditional love. Sometimes, as broken humans, it’s hard for us to receive His love, but He wants us to accept this freely without any strings attached. What good news that is for us humans that the God of the universe wants to be in relationship with you and me! God wants to love us. Let His perfect love into every aspect of our lives.
Draw near to the throne. If we withhold our heart from the Lord, He will withhold His heart from us. Sometimes we feel too messed up that we feel unworthy to draw near to God, but by the blood of Christ, Jesus deems us righteous to be His Son and Daughter. That is such GOOD NEWS, my friends.
So let’s step into that role of being sons and daughters of the King of Kings.
We don’t have to have everything together to come to God; He wants our messes and all. He sent His one and only son so that we could be in a relationship with Him. He knows we can’t do it on our own, so He made a way for us to come to Him-the ONLY way.
So next time you fail or you feel far away from the world and feel like everything is spiraling out of control, take heart that Jesus has overcome the world and let Him fill your void with His perfect peace, love, and joy.
God never once says to be happy in scripture, but He does say be joyful.
Happiness depends on our circumstances, but joy is the deep settle confidence that God is in control.
So the next time you don’t feel “okay,” realize it’s normal to feel that way and be freed up to allow God’s perfect love to overwhelm what is overwhelming you at the moment. The best part is that there is no striving in His perfect love; we just have to say, “Yes,” to it and step into a life of freedom in Christ!
