Starting freshman year of college I was filled with excitement but yet was prepared for the unexpected. Not knowing anyone, being away from home and of course starting all over and making all new friends, but these four girls made me love college.
1. They've seen you at your best and at your worst.
College can be very difficult at times and they know exactly what you are going through. They will always be two doors down and willing to let you cry in their room when you're convinced you're going to fail an exam and they will be the first to cheer you on when you pass it.
2. You can go to them for anything.
Whether it is boy, school or family problems they will always be there for you no matter what.
3. You laugh the most with them.
Whether it is from them falling off the top bunk or dancing on elevated surfaces, there will never be a dull moment as long as you are with them.
4. They become your "family".
College is hard enough and being away from you family can make it even harder. When you meet the right people they become your family whether they act like your mom or an annoying little sister you can never live without them.
5. You mess with one of us, you mess with all of us.
No matter what situation you get yourself into you will always have your friends right behind you. Whether it's roommate problems or old high school friends, if you hate them we all hate them.
6. You will never make a dumb decision alone.
Odds are they will be two steps ahead of you.
7. They are your biggest supporters.
From getting an "A" on an exam to sending that risky text message to someone they will always be behind you cheering you on.
8. Leaving them for breaks are hard.
Whether its for three days or a month leaving your best friends and going more than two hours away from them will never be easy.
9. But seeing them again makes it that much better.
Nothing is better than being reunited with your best friends and catching up on all the drama you have missed.
10. They are going through the "adulting" stage with you.
From doing your own laundry, going to the doctors by yourself and living in a house next year we are all trying to figure out this crazy world together and let me say it is not easy.
I can't thank you guys enough for all you have done for me and making my first year of college unforgettable.
