Too many people worry about these numbers more then they should be considered. Nobody is perfect and these numbers should be irrelevant in how one is judged upon one’s character or inner meaning. In KWALK’s world these are the lucky seven numbers that people need to kick to the curb.
1. Weight
It is starting to catch on that someone’s number on the scale isn’t the deciding factor on whether they are beautiful or not. Even Sports Illustrated made a statement by having a plus size model (Ashley Graham) as the front cover of their magazine. Graham summarized her experience in an interview with People saying, “To have somebody who has cellulite, who has things that jiggle, who has back fat and actually talk about them and talk about how you can be an overcome and not let society take you down for all of that — that’s real and that’s what we need in this society. We need women talking about the things that they’re doing and how they’re changing the world and not judging them only on the outside.”
As cliché as it may sound, but personality shines much brighter then someone’s weight. You can have your own preference of how you like your significant others but don’t ever degrade someone due to a number that some people can’t even control.
2. Partners
Let’s grow up a little on this subject. The number of sex partners someone has does not make them holy or slutty. I’m not sure if you’ve heard but not every guy is a “player” if every woman is a “virgin.” Almost every women says their number is on one hand when they know that’s not the case. Some men do the opposite in saying their number is bigger then two. It is what it is. Too many people lie about their number to their friends, family, and/or significant other. Whether you feel embarrassed or not, just keep it real. It’s safe to know the exact number you partner has had sex with in order to make sure everyone is clean on both ends. It’s highly not right for anyone to think they are better then anyone else just because their number may be more or less then another’s. Your sex game could still be trash even if you’ve had sex with a lot of people. (Vise Versa) Get over it.
3. Likes on Social Media
Social media might run some people’s life’s but I think it’s very important to consider that the number of likes that you get on social media, like Instagram, does not determine your popularity. I have met many people that are “Insta Famous” but are very socially awkward in person. We need to stop taking these likes or favorites so seriously on social media. They sometimes ruin relationships as well. Let it go or let go of your relationship if your trust is that bazaar
4. Age
“Age ain’t nothing but a number,” but in the court of law it does so don’t take this section the wrong way. The meaning of me saying that age does not matter is to not let obstacles stop you from being successful. Just because you may not be as young and fit as you used to be doesn’t mean you can’t be seen in the gym again doing your thing. There are adjustments for sure but you never know what your body truly can put up with until you try. The world’s oldest marathon runner, Fauja Singh, was 102 years old and he couldn’t even walk until he was 5 years old due to the weakness in his legs. He told CNN in 2013, “Running showed me kindness and brought me back to life by making me forget all my traumas and sorrows.” Don’t let anyone, even doctors, tell you that your age is why can’t do something. Do what makes you happy, seriously.
5. Shoe Size
Get your mind out of the gutter. Ladies, a man’s shoe size does not determine their private area's size. Gentlemen, women’s shoe size does not make them ugly or their feet their “worse feature.” Surprisingly, women are more conscious of their shoe size then men because being called big foot isn’t so much fun. Kendall Jenner and Khloe Kardashian both wear a size 10. Beautiful ladies with big feet. Justin Bieber wears a size 9. Who cares?
6. Test Scores
We all have had those moments where we just bombed our last test due to procrastination of being better prepared. Just because you may have failed a class doesn’t mean that you are a failure in life. I’m pretty sure your future employers won’t hire you because of the grade you got on your math exam on Friday, Oct. 24, 2014.
7. GPA
Your GPA doesn’t determine your intelligence either. Grad students may look at this differently but most of the time employers like to see what you’ve done in the work field more then how you did in school. People prefer to just know that you did well and have an education/diploma. You might get paid more if you have a higher education but it may not always be the case of whether you can get a job or not.
