We are exposed to numbers our whole life, but it doesn't mean we let them live for us! Here are a few number that shouldn't define us, because we are strong-minded people who don't let other things live for us, especially imaginary things.
Age
I’ve met many people who are young but have “old souls,” and I’ve met older people who were said to have a “youthful glow.” Without an age, it’s just the kind of people we are and the experiences we have that make us who we are. Don’t let age hold you back from anything you want to try.
Weight
Whether you’re 90 pounds or 300 pounds, the amount you weigh shouldn’t define you. It’s about what’s on the inside; no one should judge based on size.
The Age You Lost Your Virginity
Some people choose to lose it in their teen years and others choose to lose it when they get married. It’s all based on preference. What’s more important is that you’re ready, regardless of age.
Body Count
The number of people you have had sex with shouldn’t matter. We live in a generation where, if you have had sex with a lot of people, you’re either considered dirty and a slut, or people say you're the man. If anyone associates your worth with this number, then they’re not worth your time!
Bra Size
Whether you wear an A cup or DD cup, be thankful you have something! No matter what size you are, it doesn’t make you less of a woman. If anything, with smaller boobs, you’re more free to wear low-cut shirts because you won’t have to worry fit, and if you have bigger boobs, you can fill up the shirt more and give it a fuller look. There are pros to every size!
Shirt Size/Pant Size
Like bra size and weight, who cares? At least there are clothes to fit you (unless you’re a nudist who is totally against wearing clothes -- if so, I’m sorry; this paragraph doesn’t target you). If you’re like majority of the world who does wear clothes, XS, M, XL, 2X, or even 10X shouldn’t restrict you from being yourself. People should like what’s on the inside, and if they care how you look on the outside, then they’re just shallow and don’t deserve your friendship or time.
GPA
I can already hear the "Amens" I’m going to get when this paragraph is read. Let me tell you something: grades don't define you! 4.0 or 1.0, you’re as much a human being as everyone else with different components that make you up. So if you walk around with a stamped GPA on your forehead, don’t expect to get expressions from others. It’s just a silly number that only matters in the school world, not your life, so don’t make it such a big part of it.
SAT Scores
I know people who have gotten low SAT scores and get into great schools, so don’t stress so much if you get a low score. It is a big part of what your future can hold, but there’s nothing extracurricular activities in your common application can't fix. Your future doesn’t just rely on this stupid score; there’s so much more to it.
Salary
This number has such a big influence on how our world functions. You’re given a perception based upon how much you earn, when you should be judged on how you talk. No matter what you want to do in life, the amount of money you make shouldn’t keep you from your goals and desires.
Amount Of Sleep You Get
As a college student, I always make it known how many hours I slept and how tired I am. Well, it shouldn’t be like that! I should make the best out of my day and push through every minute with everything I do.
