I know it may seem like the world is ending.
Actually, the world was supposed to end on December 21, 2012. News flash, it didn't. I think it's safe to say that the end is nowhere near.
Sometimes it helps to just get it all out.
And it doesn't always have to be vocal.
And then there are the times when it's just so bad that you need to sleep it off.
Just know, that it is OK. It is normal to have those days where you feel like some other worldly force is out to get you. We've all been there. Maybe you're going through your first breakup, or you just lost a loved one. Maybe you just spilled your coffee on your brand new white shirt this morning, and you don't see the day getting any better.
In times like these, it is important to reflect on the good things in life. You woke up this morning, that's amazing! According to the US census bureau, a US citizen dies approximately every 13 seconds, and yet, you woke up this morning!
Good or bad, today is a gift. And while we don't always like the gifts that we receive...
...we should be thankful that we have them.
So sleep it off, scream out loud, or write it in your journal. Today sucked, but tomorrow morning, when you wake up, you will have received another gift of life.
Open it up and go make the best of it.
