Fear Is Your Enemy

Don't let fear define your life.

Lately, I've realized how I constantly live in fear. I'm afraid to try new things, and I worry constantly about the unknown. Fear has stopped me from chasing after my dreams, and it has caused me to make excuses for all kinds of things.

Fear is my enemy.

It's not letting me move forward with my life, and it's greatly hindering my success. The goals I have set for myself are important to me, but fear has allowed me to think life is fine without them coming true. But this isn't right. My goals matter, and if I'm not achieving them, my life is not going to be where I want it to be in the next five or ten years.

Fear has tried to rework my thoughts so that I think it's okay not to succeed in life. It makes me want to stay put where I am and not improve. It wants my goals and my ambitions to fade away until I no longer think of them and only see fear.

How much have I missed out on so far due to fear? I've missed out on opportunities for friendships; I've missed out on opportunities for growth; I've missed out on opportunities for amazing things. Looking back, I can see all the ways fear has served me, and none of them are good enough for me.

Fear is not going to affect me anymore.

It's time to set myself free from the stress and the worries of life. Who cares what the setbacks or the challenges might be; I'm going to go after what I want.

The cost of the journey is far worth it when I look at the potential outcomes of my future. Fear doesn't want me to see everything going right, but that's likely what will happen if I truly try. Never making it is much worse than feeling comfortable somewhere else.

Imagine the life you'll have if you passionately refuse fear and instead choose to believe in yourself. How far will you go? How much can you achieve? We have incredible talents ready to be used, but fear is trying to tell you they don't exist. Don't let fear win. Use your talent. Use your abilities. Make things happen.

Fear is your enemy.

You are not defined by your fear. Instead, be defined by your passion and your confidence. Let those determine the path you take. Run with your dreams and do everything you can to make them come true. I promise being comfortable is not the way to live.

Embrace opportunities and accept the unknown. Your life has such a long way to go, but you've got to get past your fear first. So please, stop listening to your doubts and your worries; start listening to your hopes and your dreams.

You have to start doing in order to see results, so conquer the fear and you'll soon see the difference.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
