I love doing Secret Santa with all of my friends back home, and shopping for my Secret Santa is always fun. Sometimes, though, it can be hard to find good, relatively inexpensive gifts that are different from the usual Secret Santa presents. I would be totally happy if I received face masks and candy, but this year I'm looking to switch up the different gifts I give and receive for Secret Santa. Below are seven different ideas that are sure to make any Secret Santa happy!

Red Bubble stickers

Red Bubble stickers are awesome because they have an endless variety of customized stickers, for every sort of thing you can imagine. If you don't know your Secret Santa person that well beyond their name, there are plenty of stickers for initials, states, and colleges. Stickers are a more personal gift and they give your person a great way to customize their lap top, water bottle, or wall.

Grab and Go Hair Ties

If you've ever bought a pack of these hair ties, you know that they are wayyy overpriced but they really are more comfortable in your hair. In my Secret Santa group chat, somebody mentioned that they wanted these, and everyone else agreed. Normally, I wouldn't think to ask for hair ties, but these are super useful and a choice that most people love but don't always think to ask for.

College gear from your own college

You might think of only getting your Secret Santa gear from their own college, but you can also get them gear from your own! Most people love to rep their friends' schools, and you're already near your own campus bookstore, so stop by there and grab them a t-shirt or a sweatshirt so they can rep your school while at your own.

An experience

There are so many different options for this one. If they are relatively close by, you could get them an anytime use bus ticket to come to visit you. Go out for manicures together, or offer to take them out to dinner for a meal of their choosing. If there is something you two really like doing together, or you have a common interest, turn that into a Secret Santa gift.

Regardless of what you get your Secret Santa this year, the important thing is that the gift comes from the heart. A meaningful card or a picture of the two of you together always goes a long way. Happy holidays!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
