New satellite images have located a massive underground facility constructed by North Korea. This facility is definitely capable of sheltering missiles that are fired from submarines (known as SSBs). Although the North Korean government has provided no details at this time, this apparent nuclear facility has been photographed on the eastern coast of North Korea.

Near the beginning of July 2016 (it is unknown the exact date the test took place but reports starting coming in the second week of July) North Korea tested a Pukgeukseong (Polaris) missile. This rocket was fired from a submarine in the waters off Sinpo in the Seas of Japan. Assuming these tests were a success, Pyongyang has obtained submarine-launched missile capabilities. IHS Jane's Defence Weekly reviewed the images taken by satellite and released the following statement. "“The massive investment North Korea is making into building the new submarine bunker at Sinpo suggests it will be used to protect its most prized naval asset – the SSB capability it is currently developing,” Their article can be found here.
So should the United States be concerned with what North Korea is doing? In my opinion, absolutely. But what people need to realize is that North Korea is not the only country to have hidden nuclear sites and weapons. The only reason it has been reported so much in the news is because North Korea's leader Kim Jong Un and his family have proven time and time again how willing they are to use nuclear alternatives.
