Well, it's December, which means that winter and cold weather is officially here. Time to break out the winter coat. Even though it may not seem that bad, the weather can actually affect many parts of your life. Here are 9 struggles of the winter time:
1. Getting out of bed in the mornings becomes ten times harder.
Your warm bed makes it hard to get up and leave for the day.
2. The sun makes it look deceivingly warm.
You think it's warm because it's sunny outside. Then you look at the weather app and quickly realize that it's as cold as the depths of hell.
3. Wearing too many layers.
You have to wear a lot of layers, and constantly take them off when you go inside and put them back on. Either that or be super hot inside. It's a back and forth.
4. Your face, hands, and ears go numb after being outside for 2 minutes.
It takes a solid 10 minutes to regain feeling once you're back inside.
5. You spend as much time inside as you can.
You maximize your indoor time and spend as little time outside as possible. A lot of times, that means not getting food or just waiting until you're on your way to class.
6. The idea of showering sounds less than inviting.
I mean, taking all of your clothes off in your cold bathroom and getting in the cold shower just don't sound as good as being warm. That's what deodorant and dry shampoo are for, right?
7. Your social life becomes increasingly lacking.
Staying home and watching Netflix sounds more enticing than going outside in the freezing cold and putting lots of clothes on.
8. You grow to hate the wind, which makes it almost 10 degrees colder.
If there was no wind, it definitely wouldn't be as cold outside. It can make it hard to walk, especially if you're walking the opposite way.
9. Walking to class seems way farther than normal.
You don't remember your class being this far away? And then, of course your classes on the other side of campus are the worst to walk to.
