I know we don't see each other every day anymore, but somehow we've stayed best friends. I'm so thankful for that, because I honestly don't know what on earth I would do without you. Every year, our friendship gets stronger because we both want the best for each other, and we are cheering each other on in every aspect of life.
It's been really cool to grow up with you. You know me more than I even know myself sometimes! It's always good to have someone who has been there with us through it all. I can't thank you enough for being my friend. You're one of the best people I know, and I'm truly lucky to have you in my life.
1. No matter how long it's been since I've last seen you, we always pick up right where we left off like nothing has ever changed. Even if it has been months, I know that our friendship will always stay strong, and there won't be any glimpse of awkward pauses.
2. We can go weeks without talking, but we both know that we'll be there for each other if anything goes wrong.
3. You're my No. 1 support system. When I'm having one of those days where I spend two minutes looking for the nutrition facts on my shampoo bottle and I'm accidentally washing the dishes with hand-soap, I know you'll be there to make me smile.
4. We don't even need to talk. Sometimes just seeing your face on a Skype call is enough to make all the stress go away.
5. We wear each other's school logo like it's our own, and we're super-proud to go visit.
6. All of your new friends are my friends too, and when I visit you it's like I already know them because of all of your stories. (Casually joining in on conversation like, "Yeah, remember that time you …" )
7. We appreciate the time that we DO get to spend together so much more.
8. We have to rely on extreme Facebook-stalking for each other's significant others (which makes for a hilarious phone call when you find that picture from wacky tacky day in the seventh grade).
9. You're the person who I know that I can call, no matter what (and if you're busy, I can leave a rude voicemail making sure you call me back ASAP).
I can't wait till we're old ladies, sitting in rocking chairs and drinking martinis. Basically, what it boils down to is that you're pretty stinkin' cool, and I enjoy having you in my life, whether we're two feet from each other or two countries apart. You rock, don't ever change.
