9 Darn Good Reasons To Be A St. Louis Cardinals Fan

9 Darn Good Reasons To Be A St. Louis Cardinals Fan

So if you’ve been keeping up with MLB this season, then I’m sure you’ve heard that the St. Louis Cardinals just clinched their third consecutive National League Central title with their 100th win this season. One of the biggest series in playoff history is about to start. Cubs. Cardinals. Postseason. How could it get any better than that?! It can't, my friends. This is hands down the greatest time of the year! It's finally October and fall weather has arrived. And that means the best baseball is being played, and it's football season! Win, Win, double WIN! Yeah, life is pretty great. And it's even greater being a Cardinals fan.

So with that being said here are some pretty darn good reasons why it’s great to be a Cardinals fan:

1. Eleven-time World-Series Champions, and going for their 12th this season, need I say more?!

2. Yadier Molina. Two-time World Series Champion, Seven consecutive All-Star selections, seven consecutive Gold Glove Awards, One Silver Slugger Award, and the list goes on and on.

3. Busch Stadium: One of baseball’s finest stadiums. With the view of the Arch in the background, you just can’t beat it.

4. They have one of the greatest rivalries in baseball. The I-55 rivalry between the Cubs and Cards can only be matched to that of the Yankees and Red Sox. And who can't resist a great rivalry?!

5. They almost always have a winning season. You won’t have to worry about not making the playoffs, that’s a rare happening for the Redbirds. The last time they didn’t have a winning season? 2007. Almost a decade ago.


6. They have the likes of Ozzie Smith, Lou Brock, Stan Musial, Rogers Hornsby, Willie McGee, Mark McGwire, Jim Edmonds, and Albert Pujols to boast as former Cardinal players. These guys were not only some of the greatest Cardinal players, but many of the greatest players in MLB history as well.


7. They have the best fans in all of baseball. All hail the Redbird faithful.

8. Adam Wainwright. Forget baseball! He’s got some killer

dance moves. But in all reality, that curveball though.


9. And mostly, because they’re just a bunch of regular guys who like to have fun, just like us.
