Everyone talk about their New Years Resolutions and only does them for a couple weeks. But this year I am going to try to stick with my resolutions and see where my new resolutions will go. For this years I want resolutions that are going to benefit me and make me a strong person. So here are a few of my 2017 Resolutions.

1. Give up drinking soda.

By giving up drinking soda, it will allow me to drink more water through the day.

2. Travel more.

Take more time for vacations and explore the world with my friends and family.

3. Focus more on school.

Try to get better grades than I have before. Spend more time in the library studying instead of laying in bed and acting like I am learning something.

4. Eat out less.

Save my money more by eating out less and eating more on campus.

5. Eat healthier.

Eat more nutritional food instead of junk food. And eat more serving sizes.

6. Go to the gym more.

Go to the gym a few nights of the week and help relieve stress and build my self-esteem up more.

7. Spend more time with friends.

Making sure that I put my friends first more and do new things with them.

8. Cut out all the negative people in my life.

Start removing the people that do not believe in my dreams and add drama to my life. I just want to enjoy my year without drama.

9. Focus on myself more.

Put myself first because my happiness means more. Focus on myself to better myself for me. So I can be happy with myself and my life.

10. Read more books.

Take more time to do read the books that I want to read.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
