Bored and don’t know what to do with yourself? Contemplating what shows you should watch? Maybe just want something new in your life? I get it, we’ve all been in this predicament before. Netflix has a vast amount of options to choose from, and at times it can be overwhelming and difficult to make a decision. As a college student, I practically live off binge watching Netflix in my spare time, and have come across many shows and movies that I would recommend to many people. If you’re stuck on what to watch or just want some new options in your life, here are my recommendations for you:
Shameless
This is a clear-cut favorite nowadays, everyone’s jumping on the train lately. Between Frank’s alcoholic-self, Fiona’s sleeping around, and the trouble that continue to follow the Gallagher’s around, the Gallagher’s never fail to keep you on edge.
Prison Break
This is a little old, but they’re apparently coming out with a new season soon. Michael Scofield goes to prison to help his brother Lincoln break out of prison since he was wrongfully committed of a crime and put on death row. From there, Scofield gets himself into more trouble and it makes for a great show.
BoJack Horseman
This is a show based on a horse named BoJack who is a washed-up sitcom actor. He isn’t happy with his life and ends up falling in love with his book writer. This whole show is very deep and expresses the harsh realities of life subtly.
Last Chance U
This is a show that revolves around a JUCO football team in East Mississippi. Most of these players had troubled pasts or transferred from D1 schools in order to have one more chance at making it big since they messed up things at their old school. It follows the season of the players on this team and where they end up after the season.
Trailer Park Boys
The show is pretty funny, but the movie is even better. Three guys, Ricky, Bubbles, and Julian all live in a trailer park. They are always up to no good and are a bunch of screw-ups. This movie conveys their hardships on transitioning into society again after being released from prison. Will they fall into their old habits? Watch to find out.
