Netflix is a critical part of a college student's life. Comedies, horrors, action movies or classic sitcoms, it's got it all. Whether it's taking a break from schoolwork, coming in from a night out or having a movie night with your roommates, this website is essential when it comes to school. However, did you know that it has an additional add-on where you can watch it with friends, while not actually being with them?

It's called Netflix Party. It's simply an add-on for Google Chrome users to install, and it's easy to use. Just go to the play screen as if you're about to watch something, click the "start the party" option in the upper right corner and copy the link given to you. From there, you can paste this link to whoever you want. It could be a romantic comedy that you want to watch with your mom when you're missing her, a hilarious sitcom that you started with your boyfriend/girlfriend or a horror movie you've always wanted to see with your friends.

Netflix Party is essentially a connection add-on that brings people together. It's never easy, being away from home and the people you want to hangout with. Especially being a freshman, getting used to not having as much contact with the people you care about and the people you want to see most. This makes it easier.

And there's a chat function too! If you want to discuss the show or movie you're viewing while you watch, then the talking function is just to the right of the screen. This states who enters and leaves the chat, and every person in the 'party' has an emoticon, so you can see who said what. If this isn't enough for you however, and you want to feel as if you are having an actual conversation, try Skyping during it too. Both windows can be open at the same time and it's almost as if you're watching together.

Another aspect of Netflix Party is the play and pause function. Absolutely anyone who is sent the link and invited to the 'party' can play and pause the thing you decide to watch, making it easy to use if one of you has to go elsewhere in the middle of the show. This is the same for if you want to fast forward or rewind back to your a particular part.

So go ahead and download Netflix Party, the add-on extension for Google Chrome. It's simply to use and it can bring you closer to the people you physically can't be close to while at college. Trust me, it'll make the long distance so much easier.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
