Call it beauty sleep, siesta, snoozing, napping, slumber, whatever you want—sleep is your one and only true love. It always makes everything right again. It makes you forget about problems in your life, including things going on at work, stress from school, or all your disappointments. Sleep is undeniably a blessing. I just take naps because I love them, but I also need them to function on a daily basis. Either way, if your napping game is strong, or if you only nap sometimes, you'll totally relate to these truths.
When you wake up you’re already planning your nap.
From the minute you wake up, you plan your day around the time you’re going to take your nap. Your daily nap is something you always look forward to.
You try to come up with tricks to get you to do your chores before you nap.
Like putting all your laundry all over your bed so you're forced to fold it and put it away. But that never works.
You can take a nap almost anywhere
Whenever your friend comes over, you ask if they're down to take a nap with you.
Napping is fun. If you're tired, he/she must be too, right? What better way to spend quality time with your friend?
Falling asleep while it's still daytime and waking up when it's pitch black out.
You get all freaked out when you wake up because you don't know how long you've been asleep (hours? days?) or what you might have slept through.
Fifteen minute nap? No way.
You don’t understand the idea of people taking brief 15- or 30-minute naps. You take napping seriously. In your opinion, you needs to nap for at least an hour or it doesn’t even count.
You dedicate your weekends to sleeping.
You tell yourself you’ll be productive after your nap.
Instead of being productive, you wake up and are unable to do anything but binge-watch episodes of Grey’s Anatomy on Netflix.
You have to set multiple alarms.
You tend to set multiple alarms to make sure you wake up (since you always hit snooze through the first two or three).
A nap always fixes everything.
After reading this, you probably want to go take a nap now.
