The night club shooting, death of Christina Grimmie and now the young boy attacked by an alligator at a Disney World resort... The city of Orlando, Florida, has been dealing with a lot of hardship during this month. Hearing about the news of all this has me in shock, has me thinking about how could someone do this to others? Why would a girl so young and so innocent be shot by another person? And how could a family that was on vacation be in this horrible situation with a young boy who was attacked by an alligator? In situations like this, I always have so many questions because no one deserves these awful things to happen to them, and I could never imagine being in a situation like this. This just makes me think that anything could happen at any time, and these are my thoughts that are going to Orlando during this time.

Early Sunday, June 12, the shots were fired at the gay night club in Orlando, Florida. President Obama reports, "We know enough to say that this was an act of terror and an act of hate." Omar Mateen, the shooter, left 49 people dead and 53 people injured at this night club and was said the be "cool and calm" after the shooting rampage occurred, according to The New York Times. Sources say Mateen was a troubled child in his past years like laughing and making a joke out of the terrorist attack on 9/11 and talking of violence at a young age. A former co-worker of Mateen even quit his job because he was so scared to work with him because he would talk about violence and hatred of America. Also, when I found out that Mateen was searching Disney World, possibly as a target site, I got extremely scared and sad. Disney World is the "happiest place on Earth," and someone would want to harm people in that environment. Mateen also had a family of his own, a son, and the photos coming from the inside of his house are all family related and a very "feel good" home environment. Why would someone who has a family of their own want to kill others who also have families, as well? Innocent people were harmed that night, some were killed and some are mentally scarred from this moment, and it will live with them for the rest of their lives. None of these people deserved anything that happened to them that night. All they wanted was to go out and have fun and got this.

Honestly, can we go anywhere anymore without any kind of fear of something happening?

Known for her appearance on "The Voice," rising star Christina Grimmie was shot dead after her concert, June 11. She was a lover of Jesus, a talented girl who was going to make it big and she was 22 years old. The man who committed this murder was Kevin Loibl, who was coming to Orlando apparently to commit this crime. Christina Grimmie was signing autographs after the concert, and that is when Loibl came up and carried out this attack. After Grimmie's brother attacked Foible, he turned the gun on himself., says CNN. How could a young, innocent girl have this crime committed on her? Who would want someone like her dead? Christina Grimmie was found on YouTube in 2011, and before she was on "The Voice," I remember finding her on YouTube and thinking she was amazing just doing covers of songs and not thinking I would ever see her anywhere else. I just thought she wanted to do what she loved for the people of YouTube. She sang all kinds of songs, and she was a heavy Christian, which I respected her a lot for because most famous people would be to embarrassed to come out about their faith. I would've loved to get to see her move further with her career because, and I knew all she wanted was to spread her happiness and love to the world. It is horrible that the people of Orlando had to witness a crime like this, and her fans and family had to witness her getting shot. But, I know her family was more than proud of her, and Orlando was excited to have her perform for them. No one was expecting this.

Another story I recently heard that happened around the time of these crimes was the story of an alligator snatching a 2-year old boy on his vacation in Disney World. The boy was found dead in murky water 10 to 15 yards away from the attack site, says CNN. The timeline of the incident is described by a source as telling the alligator came in, grabbed the boy, and the father scared the alligator, so the alligator released the boy, but then after, the boy drowned. In a search to find the alligator who attacked the boy, investigators have killed and pulled five gators, but have not yet found the attacker, reports http://www.orlandosentinel.com. There has never been reports of an attack from any kind of animals on Walt Disney World property, so this was a very rare incident to happen. The last thing any family wants is to have this horrible thing happen when they go on vacation, especially to Disney World. There is a lot of controversy about who's fault it is for this happening – was it the parents' fault for not paying attention, or was is the park's fault for not providing more attention signs and protectiveness of the resort? Personally, I think, no matter what, parents should always be looking after their kids, I am a college student, but my child would never leave my sight if I had one. I think one one part it could be the parents' fault, but also the park could have had ways to prevent this. But also, I don't believe the park should be blamed for this incident whatsoever, but also a sign that says "No Swimming" does not mean "No Alligators." Whoever's fault it is, we need to think about the family who saw their son be dragged away from one of these alligators. Also, the citizens of Orlando have to deal with another horrific event. It is just awful for the "happiest place on Earth" to not be happy for some people this day.

Orlando has been dealing with much hardship lately, and I think it is very important to keep every person in your thoughts and prayers. Hearing all this news in such a small amount of time, for myself, has been a lot to handle. Even though I was not there for any of the events, it made me think more about life and how anything can happen. There is a quote I think of whenever events like this come up, "You never think anything like this will happen to you, until it does." That scares me, but if you think about it, this is true, though. A night that was so fun, turning into the worst night of some peoples lives, the singer's murder who shocked the world and the alligator attack at Disney World. Sometimes this world doesn't make sense to me, all the horrible things that happen, but all we can do is keep them in our minds and keep thinking of each person who was affected by these tragic events.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
