My Secrets To Having Clear And Soft Skin

Some people tend to neglect the importance of proper skin care. I have always been very adamant on how I take care of my skin. I am very dramatic and the sight of a pimple will almost bring me to tears. I received a few acne scars after popping my pimples. Usually my acne scars would go away fast, but these have been sticking around, unfortunately. So, I have been on a mission to get my beautiful, clear skin back! This article will discuss products I use to have clear skin, and will reveal my daily regimen.

First, I would like to start off saying that I'm a shop-a-holic. I love trying new products even if I haven't finished others I have bought. It's a problem I have, but hey, yolo. I've recently found a new love for coconut oil (I know, I'm late) and black soap. These two together have been working wonders!

At first, I was washing my face with Trader Joes Coconut Oil. It's organic, which is really good. I would get compliments about my skin and the coconut oil is great as a primer for makeup, ladies. After about two weeks or so, I started to notice my scarring slowly fading away. I was so happy. But, after awhile, I started to get bored. Now, I'm using the Dudu Osun Black Soap straight from Nigeria. It leaves my skin looking so fresh, clean and soft. The black soap has all natural ingredients such as honey, aloe vera and shea butter. It can be used to combat a variety of skin problems including acne and eczema. I can feel my face dry up a bit so I make sure I use a moisturizer afterwards. I have normal skin but when the weather changes, my skin can get really dry. I bought Ponds Dry Skin Cream and that worked well.

I came home to visit my parents for spring break and went into my mom's bathroom to see what products she was currently using. She's always switching up facial skin care products, so now we know where I get my problem from. I noticed a coconut oil facial treatment that she stopped using. I decided to try it as my moisturizer. It's only been about a week, but I like the results so far!

I now have switched to using a witch hazel toner after I wash my face. The toner cleans and refreshes my face. I know the black soap works because my cotton pad never gets dirty!

I wash my face with hot water and rinse with cold. By doing that, it closes my pores. When washing my face, I use the fingertips of my middle and ring finger and gently rub my face in a circular motion. When it's time to dry, I use a towel and gently pat. Don't wipe!

Oh and never, ever, go to sleep with makeup on! It's so harmful to the skin. I use a face wipe first then proceed to wash my face with soap or face wash.

I hope this helps someone. Clear skin is great skin!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
